One of the good things in living in Scotland for the year is that travelling in the north part of Europe could be very easy! My first destination has been Dublin. Let me talk a little bit about it and give you some tips.

Temple Bar Pub |
I landed a Friday night in this beautiful city with the
Ryanair company with plane tickets at approximatively 30£ (this is why it so easy to travel). The first thing we did was drinking a beer (a Guinness for sure) in "
Temple Bar" that is one of the most known bars in Dublin. It is a pub with live music. You will find a lot of pub with live music in Dublin you don’t even have to search for them.

Saint Patrick Cathedral |
The following day, we go to
Saint Patrick Cathedral. We get there the same day of a graduation day and so we didn’t have the chance to enter the monument. You actually have to take care because it happens often. Graduation is very important in the Anglo-Saxon culture and then you can find a lot of event of that type. Check before going in some places.

Dublin Castle |
After that, we headed for the
Dublin Castle that wears quite an uncommon colours for an old castle. After the castle we meander around the district, enjoying stores and shops that are numerous. We stop to eat in Anne Street South. I recommend it, the district is full of little place to eat.

Anne Street South |

We wanted to stop in the
Old Library of the Trinity College but we were too late as good French people. You have to take care. Because a lot of places close early. Most of the time it is closed at 5pm.
Nights in Dublin are crazy as everyone seems to be in the streets! I recommend the
Berlin Bar with its three different scenes (and not a lot of tourists) and the
Pygmalion Bar that is 10€ to enter but a great time to have.

Dùn Loaghaire |
Sunday we drove to pretty places: Monkstown and Dùn Laoghaire. It is costal tiny places with a lot of very nice restaurant like the
Cinnamon (I recommend the poached eggs with salmon ;) ) and grocery shops like
Avoca that sells all a latin girl can ask (as saucisson and Mozzarella).
It was a perfect journey and I hope you will enjoy a trip to Dublin one of this days!
Thanks for the tips!
