Transports Tips To Travel in Glasgow: how not to be lost
As I arrived in not that long in the beautiful city of Glasgow, I had to adapt to public transportation. Now that I know some stuff let me share with you my newly acquired knowledge.
You have to now that you do not choose a company, it depends on where you want to go.
The single ticket is 1,70£ but most of the time they propose returns tickets that are 3,20£.

Bus
In Glasgow, you have not one but several companies of buses. They have their own lines and tickets you will buy for one will not work for the other.The First Bus company (it is the name of the company):
You have an application that you can download and use for buying tickets. You can buy your tickets directly on the bus, by card (contactless) or by cash (they do not give change). The common ticket is 2,30£ for the city centre (2£ on the app).The McGills company:

Subway
The subway in Glasgow is quite easy to understand. The company is called SPT and they have 15 stations around the city. It makes a « circle » and you have the « inner circle » and the « outer circle ». Trains
You can take the train to move around the city. The company is ScotRail. You have several stations in Glasgow that are quite important. It is very common. Bike
If you prefer to travel the city in the fresh air (or humid air as you want) you also can rent a bike provided by Nextbike. They are very useful and you can cross the city in 30 minutes (you have road fitted out for it). The system is common: you sign-up for a membership and you can hire a bike on every checkpoint. Finally, you can take a cab everywhere in Glasgow with Taxis of Glasgow. They are not very expensive, they actually are almost the same price as Uber. But Black cabs are more fancy don’t you think?
